How much does Microblading in Montreal Cost?

How much does it cost to Microblade your eyebrows?

I am sure all brow artists can relate … the two little words we get asked most often: how much?

After spending thousands of dollars on trainings and certifications, travelling all over to learn from some of the industry’s top masters, investing in the highest-grade pigments and tools available and spending countless hours, and many sleepless nights practicing the art of hair strokes I won’t lie … every time I hear these two words a small part of me dies.

But, hey, I get it :)

Price is important. But next time you’re in the market for microblading services, here are a few things to keep in mind and some questions to ask out loud before you drop the “how much” bomb. On behalf of brow artists everywhere, we thank you :)

Microblading services in Montreal, Quebec can range anywhere from $250 to $650, from what I have seen.

The wide range in price is based on a number of factors, such as: the level of experience and skill of the eyebrow artist, what is included in the microblading service, what type of supplies are used in the microblading service, and the location of the studio itself.

Here is information worth knowing if you are interested in scheduling a microblading appointment …

Level of Experience and Skill of the Microblading Artist

There is more than meets the eye (brow) when it comes to microblading! With it’s ultra realistic look & feel, a great microblading service is more than just a beauty treatment - it is art! And behind every great masterpiece is an equally great, talented and experienced artist, who has most certainly dedicated hundreds, if not thousands, of hours (and dollars) to perfecting their craft.

No two microblading services are alike. Every client brings to the table an entirely unique set of characteristics: from existing brow shape, to hair colour, to skin type, undertone, texture and age. The canvas that a microblading artist is given to work on, is forever changing.

As if this mix wasn’t complicated enough, brow artists must also factor in the client’s lifestyle, pre-existing medical conditions, previous cosmetic procedures, and the client’s future eyebrow desires. It is safe to say that every great brow artist, must also be a great listener :)

When it comes to tackling the art of microblading ie. bettering brows, mastering technique, perfecting hair stroke patterns, understanding morphology and conquering colour matching and correction … there are some things that must be learned overtime, and through countless hours of practice and hands-on experience.

Great microblading artists are highly educated and knowledgeable professionals and if you want to receive their services, than you need to be prepared to pay for them.

What is included in the Microblading Service?

It is not uncommon for your microblading service to include a touch-up session 6 to 8 weeks after your receive your new brow babies! The touch-up session is key to achieving good pigment (aka. colour) retention, and flawless results.

Most microblading artists therefore include the amount time and materials required to perform a touch-up service when pricing out their microblading services. When evaluating microblading service options, it is important to inquire about touch-up services and confirm that they are included in the initial cost. Some studios prefer to exclude the touch-up session and price their microblading services lower. A touch-up session will then need to be purchased for an additional amount.

Typically, microblading takes 2.5 to 3 hours for the first session + 1 to 1.5 hours for the touch-up session, which is why most artists charge between $300 - $450 for their services.

At Faux Real Brow & Lash Studio, our Microblading Service includes the cost of a touch-up session (typically 1 hour in length).

All of our Microblading services also include an Essential Aftercare Kit, which contains: Stages of Healing booklet, Post-Treatment Aftercare Guide, “Real Clean” Gentle Brow Wash, “Real Safe” Brow Protection Cream, premium cotton pads, cotton swabs and brow brushes.

What types of Supplies are used in the Microblading Service?

Let’s say you’re hosting a dinner party and you’ve spent hours putting together the most delicious menu. Do you think you’d head over to the day old section of the grocery store to source mediocre ingredients to cook your gourmet meal?

Don’t get me wrong, the day old bin serves a great purpose and it is often where I snag the best deal on almost-too-ripe cantaloupes, but there is a place and a time for saving a buck or two - and it doesn’t go hand in hand with microblading!

High-end beauty salon and studios offering premium microblading services know that only the highest-grade, industry-leading cosmetic pigments, needles, supplies and aftercare products will deliver flawless results that will stand the test of time!

Please trust me when I say that it is worth investing your money in microblading services that utilize top-rated products and pigments.

For these reasons, and because we believe in upholding ourselves to the highest level of standard, our Montreal-based studio only uses world-renowned, industry-approved pigments in our microblading services. All of our needles are single use and our microblading tools are medical grade and cosmetic-certified. We take pride in going the extra mile to eliminate our use of single plastics, and opt to purchase biodegradable supplies and materials when presented with the option. Here are some of the industry-approved, North American-based, cosmetic beauty suppliers that we support:

Faux Real Studio sources needles, pigments & more from: Tina Davies, Shay Danielle, Beauty Slesh, Vanita Cosmetik and Zensa

Location of the Microblading Studio

It is not uncommon to pay a higher price tag on microblading, and other beauty services, when the studio is located in areas of Downtown Montreal. Studios located in more central areas of the city have a higher cost of operation due to the demand for downtown real estate, and the higher cost associated with leasing or owning studio space in these popular postal codes. The downtown location can make it more convenient for clientele who live in close proximity to the studio, or for those who prefer to take public transit, but for those who need to travel to the downtown location by car it can often be more challenging.

It is beneficial to inquire with the studio about metro station and parking options before booking your appointment so that you can comfortably plan your route. You will want to arrive on time, and in a relaxed state, for your microblading appointment; so plan ahead and where possible, look for studios that are located near a metro station and/or offer convenient parking solutions.

Faux Real Brow & Lash Studio is conveniently located in East Montreal. We are a 10 minute walk from the Pie lX Metro station, and next door a large public parking lot. Whether you travel by public transit or by car, we have you covered :)

When done right, microblading can be one of the best beauty investments you will ever make!
You only have one set of brows, so do them justice.

And next time you chat with a Microblading Artist, I hope this blog has inspired you to choose some different words. Instead of asking: How much?

Maybe you’ll feel more inclined to say: How long … does microblading last?
What kind … of pigments and tools to do use?
Yes, please … I’d like to book a free brow consult!
Or even surprise us by saying: Thank you! … for doing what you do :)
